Oxygen absorbers remove residual oxygen from sealed packaging, slowing oxidation, rancidity, and aerobic mold. They are the standard companion to barrier packaging for nuts, jerky, baked goods, pet food, and pharmaceuticals.

Two Chemistries

• Ferrous (iron-based) — the proven standard for most dry foods

• Organic non-ferrous — for metal-detector lines and applications where iron is unwanted

Not a Desiccant

Oxygen absorbers and desiccants do different jobs. Many food packages need both: the absorber handles oxygen, the desiccant handles moisture. We manufacture both, so one RFQ covers the pair.
